Delhi-bound Air India flight with 135 passengers lands in Kannur after bird hit

An Air India spokesperson stated the plane was stopped for check-up and upkeep.

Kannur, Kerala:

A Delhi-bound aircraft needed to land on the Kannur Worldwide Airport on Monday after being hit by a chook quickly after take-off.

An Air India spokesperson stated, “It was a case of chook collision and the plane was grounded for investigation and upkeep.”

Airport sources stated the flight with 135 passengers began from Kozhikode and landed at Kannur airport earlier than taking off for Delhi.

“Of the 135 passengers, 85 have been from Kozhikode and 50 from Kannur. They have been all secure,” the airport’s SHO instructed PTI.

He stated the airways made preparations to accommodate the foreign-bound passengers on different flights, whereas the Delhi-bound passengers have been saved in two inns in Kannur and their journey preparations could be made on Tuesday.
