Six native firms to speculate $457 million in pharma, hospitality

Six Bangladeshi firms have proven curiosity in investing $457 million in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar in Chattogram and Sabrang Tourism Park in Cox’s Bazar.

They’ve ready six funding proposals – one for the pharmaceutical sector and the remaining 5 for the hospitality sector.

The Financial Zone Authority will present 17 acres of land to the entrepreneurs, that are: Healthcare Prescription drugs Ltd. (HPL), Ifd Motors Ltd., DIRD Composite Textiles Ltd., DIPTA Clothes Ltd., DIRD Clothes Ltd., and East West Travels and Excursions (Pvt.) Ltd.

In line with Bangladesh Financial Zone Authority (BEJA) officers, the funding of six will create round 8,219 direct jobs.

HPL was earlier operating its operation on 30 acres of land inside Bangabandhu Shilpa Nagar.

Now, Beja has determined to allot an extra 10 acres to HPL to fulfill its demand for growth of operations.

Healthcare Prescription drugs will make investments $400 million to determine three factories for the manufacturing of energetic pharmaceutical elements and completed pharmaceutical merchandise.

HPL Deputy Managing Director and CEO Muhammad Halimuzzaman advised The Every day Star that HPL will arrange amenities to fulfill the native demand for import substitute and export completed merchandise.

One other investor, Ifd Motors Restricted, has submitted a proposal to speculate greater than $16 million to construct and function a 10-storey 3-star lodge with 370 rooms at Sabrang Tourism Park.

IFD can even use this fund for serviced land for building of three-star lodges, leisure venues and leisure, conference facilities and transport.

Ifd, DIRD Clothes Restricted and East West Travels and Excursions (Non-public) Restricted will get one acre every, whereas DIRD Composite Textiles Restricted and DIPTA Clothes Restricted will get two acres every.

DIRD Composite Textiles will make investments $17 million, DIPTA Clothes Restricted $14 million, DIRD Clothes Restricted $6.5 million and East West Travels $2.5 million.

The merchants are to signal the land lease settlement at Beja’s workplace in Dhaka’s Agargaon space tomorrow.
